Once you've completed the course, you'll need to submit an application to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. You'll need to submit fingerprints and a passport-style photo along with the application.

The application fee is $119. Once your application has been processed, you'll be issued a concealed weapons permit.

What to expect in a concealed carry class

There are a few things you can expect when taking a concealed carry class. The first is that the instructor will go over the basics of firearms safety. This will include topics such as how to handle a gun, how to store it safely, and what to do if you accidentally discharge it.

The second thing you can expect is that the instructor will cover the laws surrounding concealed carry in your state. It is important to know these laws before carrying a gun, as you could be breaking them without even realizing it.

Finally, the instructor will likely go over some basic self-defense techniques. This can be useful even if you never plan on using your gun in self-defense, as it may give you the confidence to do so if the situation ever arises.

If you're thinking about taking a concealed carry class, these are just a few of the things you can expect. With the right instructor, you'll be able to learn everything you need to know about carrying a gun safely and responsibly.

Who can get a concealed carry permit in Florida?

In order to obtain a concealed carry permit in Florida, you must be at least 21 years old and a resident of the state. You must also complete an approved firearms safety course and pass a background check. Non-residents may also apply for a Florida concealed carry permit if they meet certain requirements.

If you have been convicted of a felony, you are not eligible for a concealed carry permit in Florida. Additionally, if you have been convicted of certain misdemeanors or have a history of drug abuse, you may also be ineligible.

If you meet all the requirements and would like to apply for a concealed carry permit, you can do so through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The application process includes submitting fingerprints, a passport-style photo, and the required fee.

Once you have submitted your application, you will be notified by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services if your application has been approved or denied. If it is approved, you will receive your concealed carry permit in the mail.

If you have a concealed carry permit from another state, you may be able to use it in Florida. However, Florida only recognizes permits from certain states. You can check the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services website to see if your out-of-state permit is valid in Florida.
